Pulling Together: COVID information

Relaxation of COVID-19 safety measures from 19th July 2021

From Monday 19th July it is no longer a legal requirement to socially distance, wear a face covering or check into a venue by signing in or using the NHS Track & Trace app. There are also no longer any limits on the number of people who can meet indoors or outdoors. Coronavirus is still a serious risk, so many pubs will continue to apply rules to protect their customers and staff. These could include the following measures:

  • Continuing to supply hand sanitiser and to regularly clean surfaces.
  • Spacing out tables to maintain social distancing.
  • Ensuring customers and staff can continue to wear face coverings if they wish.
  • Continuing to provide a QR code for the NHS Track & Trace app.
  • Continuing to ventilate the pub.

If we know of pubs that are using further safety measures not listed above we will mention that in the update section of Whatpub for that venue. The CAMRA WhatPub guide has been updated to show all the pubs and clubs in the branch area that we know have opened from 17th May onwards. Tick the box that says Only show venues with information about COVID-19 temporary arrangements, and search for Watford & District (CAMRA).

The information in WhatPub was mostly compiled from pub social media pages, so it is likely to be incomplete. Please contact whatpub@watford.camra.org.uk if there is any information that you think should be updated for a venue.
